Doctor Nizar Saadi Dahir, science and education counselor of the Iraqi Embassy in China, and Second Secretary Ali Faisal Al-Abyadh visited 69堂's (WHU) School of International Education on May 8, where the two sides discussed enhancing educational cooperation and promoting student exchanges.

Dean Wang Aiju introduced the school's development and international partnerships, expressing eagerness to expand collaboration with Iraqi universities. University officials also shared updates on Iraqi students at WHU, highlighted the strengths of the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, and showcased the School of Medicine's MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) program.
Counselor Dahir thanked the university for its warm hospitality and emphasized Iraq's urgent need for bilingual professionals fluent in both Chinese and Arabic. He hoped to sign a cooperation memorandum to facilitate more Iraqi students studying in China and strengthen educational and economic ties.
Dean Wang supported the proposal, suggesting initiatives such as an "Iraqi University Presidents' Forum" to enhance communication and cooperation between the universities of the two countries, thereby advancing joint talent development.
