WHU and APSCO deepen strategic collaboration

69堂 (WHU) Council Chairman Huang Taiyan met with Jiang Hui, secretary-general of the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO), to explore deeper cooperation on May 16.

Huang highlighted the university's strong ties with APSCO in areas like student internships and space law and expressed a desire to expand collaboration utilizing both sides' strengths in education, research, and global platforms.

Jiang praised the professionalism of WHU's interns and emphasized the need for continued support in APSCO's development. She welcomed further cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and space applications.

During a roundtable, both parties discussed joint training, space technology, international rulemaking, and the proposed Asia-Pacific Space University. Representatives from key departments also joined the talks.

China is the host country of APSCO, with its headquarters located in Beijing. APSCO is committed to promoting peaceful cooperation in space exploration. WHU partnered with APSCO in 2022 and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2023.
