Liu Huixin, vice-president of Kyushu University, visited 69堂 (WHU) on June 3 to meet with Yuan Yufeng, WHU vice-president.

Yuan highlighted the importance of faculty and student exchanges in fostering inter-university cooperation. He hoped for deeper collaboration between the two institutions in academic exchange, joint research, and international conferences.
Liu thanked WHU for its warm welcome and said she looks forward to welcoming more WHU faculty and students to Kyushu University. She emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and building broader platforms for exchange, while actively exploring innovative models of collaboration.
An alumna of WHU, Liu earned her bachelor's degree in Radio Wave Propagation and Antennas in 1992 and completed her PhD in Space Physics in 2001. She is now a professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Kyushu University, serving as vice-president and overseeing international research and education.
